Started out cool at 60 deg F at 8:45am and peaked at 87 deg F by the time we were done by noontime. Jun's bike was not much up for the ride - broken spoke at the start of the ride, and then a flat tire by the time we were coming down Braille trail

Started at gate PC05 by Higgins Canyon Rd & Purisima Creek Rd
Climbed up Purisima Creek Trail fire rod (up 1 mile, down mile)
Climbed up Harkin Ridge Trail (mostly fire road_
Awesome downhill on North Ridge Trail and Whittemore Gulch Trail on very narrow single tracks and good share of switchbacks

12 miles 2-1/2 hrs riding time

Starting at 1800' elev, rode Highland Way, Buzzard Lagoon, peaked at 2400' elev somewhere along Ridge Trail, went down Braille Trail down to 1000' elev and then climbed back up Hihn's Mill Trail back to 1800' elev

5May2012: Skeggs (starting at gate CM08)

Riders: Gene, Tim, Ralph, Benny & Lloyd
Starting out at chilly (50 deg F) gate CM08 (elev 1600'), climbed up North Leaf trail, then El Corte Madera trail, more climibing on Resolution trail though some rocky portions (elev 2200') then Fir trail. THe rewards began by going down rocky Manzanita trail, Timberview trail, Crosscut trail, and Timberview again. Passed by to see the giant Old Growth Redwood tree (37deg 23.63'N 122 deg 18.91'W). Onto Giant Salamander, Climbed up out on Methuselah trail.
